Timbers We Carry

Burmese Teak

Burmese Teak is often prized by many consumers in comparison to other types of wood, despite its hefty cost. The value lies within elegance and durability; the reason is that they retain natural oils and rubber saps within the tight grains of wood, even after felled and milled for processing. These oils and rubber naturally weatherproofs the wood when dried to proper moisture level, protecting it greatly from dry rot without further treatments, a common problem with other type of wood. Burmese Teak are frequently used to build boats, exterior construction, veneer, furniture, carving, turnings, and other small wood projects.
